Those massive chandeliers would loom large over such gatherings, I should think.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00456068019298922261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-333091580028808174.post-40117971993572437262010-05-29T05:31:45.474-07:002010-05-29T05:31:45.474-07:00Hi Jana! It's where I first saw an 18th century invalid cup, 19th century calling card case, and Edwardian skirt with a hem protector sewn on. For a historical romance writer, this kind of visual information is priceless. I just wish BBC America didn't run the same episodes over and over and over. I must have seen the one on Bath a gazillion times. But it was very helpful with this article! :)))Joanna Waughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08053211782268427159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-333091580028808174.post-87162494276353115782010-05-29T05:30:05.022-07:002010-05-29T05:30:05.022-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Joanna Waughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08053211782268427159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-333091580028808174.post-34368253702513633572010-05-28T18:29:11.539-07:002010-05-28T18:29:11.539-07:00Hi Joanne and Lesley,

It's a wonder the place didn't burn to the ground! But there's no doubt about the craftsmenship of the chandliers.

BTW I love Antiques Roadshow UK too. You maybe don't get the enormous prices that items on the US version fetch, but there certainly are some interesting and historical pieces shown.

JanaJana Richardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16624650840243322617noreply@blogger.com
